regify offers digital alternative to traditional postal services
company for secure and binding electronic communication predicts an end to the classic letter
Luxemburg, 7 October 2011 – Having conquered home territory in the German market, regify is set to enter the Benelux. The three regify products - regimail, regibill and regipay - enable confidential information, official documents, invoices and payslips to be sent by e-mail in an easy way and in absolute security. regify offers the perfect alternative to the traditional postal system, eliminating costs and mountains of paperwork.
regimail offers an easy to use Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for sending all business communication electronically. It is the only system with end-to-end encryption for the worldwide transmission of information to and from existing e-mail addresses. There are, therefore, no intermediaries with access to the message content.
Registered e-mail transmissions
A closed system of confirmation of receipt makes regimail equal by law to registered mail.
In addition, regibill and regipay offer equivalent systems for the electronic transmission of invoices and payslips. These services are set to give the postal sector as we know it a thorough shake up.
World Post Day: a look at the redesign of the postal landscape
On Sunday, 9 October, the postal sector celebrates its annual World Post Day, the ideal occasion to reflect on the future of this rapidly evolving sector. Companies primarily use traditional post to send official and confidential documents. E-mail used to be considered too perfunctory and insecure. But now this has changed.
The various governments are taking measures to make this switch possible. In July 2010, the European Commission adopted a new directive to make e-invoicing equal to paper billing. This directive must be in force in all EU countries by 1 January 2013.
There is also an evolution taking place on a technical level. Until recently, there were obstacles to a more official use of e-mail. Kurt Kammerer, CEO of regify, explains: “Firstly, the basic e-mail is as ‘confidential’ as a postcard, and thus doesn’t comply with the rules. Secondly, specially developed systems are often cumbersome, expensive and not yet 100 % reliable. But now there’s an alternative, because the services offered by regify provide an answer to all these issues.” So it isn’t surprising that P&T Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Post, has chosen regify.
regimail, unique in its simplicity
“With one click on a button you can send an unhackable e-mail from your usual e-mail address. It doesn’t matter who or where the recipient is. We have no competitors who can do this,” says Kurt Kammerer. “So it’s official: parcels still have to go by post, all the rest can be sent through your usual e-mail address.”
