Fiducia IT AG is regify provider
770 cooperative banks can securely send and receive bank data with regify
Huefingen, 25th of November 2010 – With Fiducia IT AG, Karlsruhe, regify AG has won a major provider in the German banking industry. As a service provider, Fiducia offers its partner banks the trusted and binding e-mail service. Fiducia will not only technically manage the regify service but will also provide support for user administration and will authenticate the users. For employees of the associated banks who subscribe to the service, Fiducia will generate user accounts. Thus, employees of the banks can securely communicate with their customers and partners.
„Fiducia IT AG opens up a huge market for regify“, says Kurt Kammerer, CEO of regify AG. Fiducia is the largest IT-service provider of the group of cooperative banks in Germany and provides IT to 770 cooperative and private banks that have some 100,000 IT users and manage 66 million bank accounts. Employees of the banks receive their regify service from Fiducia whereas partners and customers of the banks choose the appropriate regify provider amongst the public regify providers.
regify satisfies the legal requirements for electronic exchange of data
Financial service providers are legally obligated to only send personal data in a trusted and secure manner. "With Fiducia's new regify service, the cooperative banks comply with the high legal requirements for the electronic sending of data", says Ingrid Krummhaar, technical project manager at Fiducia IT AG. „In addition, the regify service also contributes to our risk management as it satisfies requirements of MaRisk. Furthermore, customers welcome the regify service because with regify, they can simply exchange sensitive data by e-mail with their bank advisor." adds Krummhaar. Users can open and send regify e-mails with their ordinary e-mail program, their BlackBerry or alternatively, through the web portal of their regify provider. Upon sending a regify e-mail, message body and attachments are automatically encrypted. The digital key is transmitted to the clearing service from where it is released to the authorized user only once he wants to open that message. Processing is done automatically and users do not have to bother with keys or other administrative tasks. At any time, a transaction register provides a user with undisputable information about the status of past and pending communication transactions.
